Masters Students
There are several openings for master’s students for Fall, Spring, and Summer semester entry. Candidates should have an undergraduate degree in Industrial/Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, an overall GPA of at least 3.5, and should show relevant course or work experience in Industrial and Systems Engineering research. Undergraduate Students
iMOSS lab has several open positions for undergraduate students with varying levels of experience (from Freshmen to Super-Seniors). To apply please contact Dr. Pérez at eduardopr@txstate.edu.
What skills do Undergraduate Researchers (UGRs) pick up at iMOSS Lab?
- Qualitative Data Analysis (interviews, observational data, focus groups)
- Quantitative Data Analysis (statistical analysis, data analytics, programming)
- Attend Scientific Conferences (iMOSS-Lab sends UGRs to prestigious conferences every year to present their research paper/posters)
- Lead a mini-experiment (UGRs will learn how to design and run lab studies)
- Build knowledge in multidisciplinary fields (our projects involve knowledge from and collaboration with various fields including computer science, engineering, management, and public health)
- Publish conference and journal papers (UGRs at iMOSS-Lab will be involved in writing scientific papers and posters and learn academic and technical writing)
- Experience graduate school (students will work directly with graduate students and experience graduate school first-hand. iMOSS lab has several UGRs who transitioned to master’s and PhD students)
